Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk posted on social media a video showing Ukraine’s air defense units intercepting a Russian kamikaze drone in the country’s south overnight Sunday.
The video was initially posted on Oleshchuk’s Telegram channel, as seen by Ukrinform.
Oleshchuk thanked the air defense crew for “accuracy and results”.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, in the early hours of Sunday, July 21, Ukraine’s air defense forces shot down 35 of the 39 Shahed attack drones Russia launched at Ukraine. E-warfare capabilities allowed Ukraine to divert the two incoming Kh-59/69 missiles from the intended targets.
