Romania issues air raid alert amid Russian drone attack on Ukrainian port

It is noted that the warning had been issued by the RO-Alert system in the north of Tulcea district as several drones were spotted flying toward the border.
The warning was issued as Russia attacked the Ukrainian port of Izmail, located approximately 15 kilometers from Tulcea county.
It is also noted that there were 10 calls to the emergency hotline 112 as residents heard explosions. At 03:46, the air raid alert was canceled.
In addition, two Romanian F-16 fighters took off to monitor the airspace.
Two F-16 fighter jets of the Romanian air force scrambled overnight Wednesday to monitor the airspace after a Ro-Alert message was issued for the area of Tulcea County in regard of several drones approaching the border, according to the statement.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russian drones attacked Izmail overnight Wednesday, leaving port infrastructure and an apartment block damaged. Casualties were reported.
