War update: 103 clashes since day-start

Since the beginning of Thursday, 103 combat engagements have taken place at the front, with the enemy attacking most actively in the Pokrovsk axis.

That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

"A total of 103 combat clashes have taken place since day-start. The enemy is most active in the Pokrovsk axis, having also increased the number of offensive and assault efforts in the Kurakhove and Vremivka axes," the evening update reads.

It is noted that Ukrainian settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv regions close to the border with Russia continue to suffer from enemy shelling. Five of them – Studenok, Novovasylivka, Slavhorod, Velyka Pysarivka, and Oleksandrivka – were hit by enemy mortars.

At the same time, Kharkiv region comes under Russian bombardment. The Russians have launched 13 airstrikes using 28 KAB gliding bombs, hitting the areas of Vesele, Lyptsi, Hlyboke, Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Ruska Lozova, and Pytomnyk.

Kharkiv axis: the Russians launched four unsuccessful attacks near Hlyboke and two near Vovchansk, one of which is currently ongoing. The situation is under control.

Kupiansk axis: the enemy launched five assaults near Stelmakhivka, Petropavlivka, and Stepova Novoselivka. One battle is over and four are in progress.

Lyman axis: the invading army attacked 10 times near the settlements of Makiivka and Nevske, as well as in the Serebryansky forest area. Ukraine’s defenders repelled six enemy attacks, and four are still ongoing.

Siversk axis: the enemy attacked five times near Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, and Mykolaivka. As a result of the fighting, the assaults were repelled.

Kramatorsk axis: the Russians launched eight assaults near Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, Maiske, and Hryhorivka. Defense forces repelled six attacks, and two more are ongoing.

Toretsk axis: the invaders also attacked eight times near Zalizne, New York, and Pivnichne. Five battles are over and three are ongoing.

Pokrovsk axis: the Russians launched assaults in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Novo-oleksandrivka, Vesele, Ivanivka, Novoselivka Persha, Paraskoviivka, Novozhelanne, and Yasnobrodivka. Ukraine’s defense forces are holding back the enemy's onslaught, having repelled 18 attacks, while nine clashes are underway.

Kurakhove axis: the enemy attacked 14 times near Krasnohorivka, Kostiantynivka, and Paraskoviivka. Ten battles are over, while four are still ongoing.

Vremivka axis: three enemy attacks are currently underway near Velyka Novosilka. Ukraine’s defenders repelled 10 more attacks near Kostiantynivka, Vodiane, and Rozdolne.

Orikhiv axis: the enemy tried to break through Ukrainian defenses near Mala Tokmachka, Yurkivka, Novoandriivka, and Shcherbaky. Two attacks have been repelled, two more are in progress.

Prydniprovia axis: all three enemy assaults on the left bank of the Dnipro failed.

According to the press service, the situation in other areas of the front has undergone no significant changes.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, referring to the General Staff, Russia’s total war losses since the invasion have amounted to an estimated 571,350.
