Death toll in missile strike on Zaporizhzhia rises to nine

Chief of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, announced this on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.

"Despite the efforts of medical staff, another injured victim, a 74-year-old man, passed away in the hospital. The enemy attack on the city center has now claimed nine lives," Fedorov wrote.

In a televised statement, Fedorov confirmed that the search and rescue operation at the site of the missile strike has been ongoing for more than a day.

People are still believed to be trapped under the rubble.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, on December 10, a Russian missile struck a private clinic in central Zaporizhzhia.
