Ukrainian defense forces shot down 114 enemy drones, 81 “decoys” vanish from radar

On the night of March 21, the Defense Forces shot down 114 enemy UAVs during a Russian air attack, 81 imitator UAVs failed to reach their targets and were lost.

According to Ukrinform, the press service of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

“On the night of March 21, 2025 (from 20.00 on March 20), the enemy attacked with 214 Shahed-type attack UAVs and imitator drones of various types from the directions: Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russian Federation, Chauda - Crimea. As of 09.30, 114 Shahed and other types of attack UAVs were confirmed to have been shot down in the south, north and center of the country. 81 enemy imitator drones were lost locally (without negative consequences),” the statement said.

As noted, the Russian attack affected Odesa, Khmelnytsky, Sumy, and Kyiv regions.

According to the press service, the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As reported by Ukrinform, 75 enemy UAVs were shot down on the night of March 20, while 63 imitator drones failed to reach their targets (lost in the area).
