The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) and the National Police have detained three more agents of the Russian special services who carried out ordered arson attacks on relay cabinets of Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian railway) in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

This was reported by the SSU, according to Ukrinform.

The main targets of the enemy were relay cabinets that ensure the uninterrupted movement of trains, including convoys transporting Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

To carry out the sabotage, Russian agents used flammable mixtures, which they prepared themselves following instructions from the FSB.

In Kyiv region, another member of the arsonist group that the SSU had neutralized in December 2024 was detained.

At that time, after the exposure of the enemy cell, the 21-year-old suspect went into hiding. Later, on orders from the Russian special services, he set fire to two relay cabinets near the capital.

In Dnipropetrovsk region, the SSU detained two more perpetrators. One of them was a 20-year-old repeat offender who had previously served a sentence for theft. Earlier this year, he set fire to two relay cabinets.

The other suspect was a 16-year-old student at a local college who was caught attempting to set fire to a relay cabinet at a railway crossing near Kamianske.

One of his next tasks was to derail a freight train carrying military equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the front line.

During searches, law enforcement officers seized clothing, arson tools, and mobile phones containing evidence of the crimes.

The detainees have been charged under Part 2 of Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (sabotage committed under martial law).

The suspects are currently in custody. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

As Ukrinform previously reported, the SSU and National Police recently detained five more accomplices of Russian special services involved in ordered arson attacks across various regions.
