More than 2,000 Ukrainian families have already taken advantage of the “warm loans” energy efficiency program in 2021, Ukrinform reports with reference to the press service of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving.

“This year state energy efficiency program attracts more and more participants. During the first week of the program this year, families received almost UAH 33 million in loans, and UAH 50 million during the second week," reads the report.

The State Agency for Energy Efficiency noted that banks issued UAH 83.8 million of "warm loans", of which: UAH 82 million for energy efficiency measures in private homes and UAH 1.8 million for solid fuel boilers.

"Raising energy efficiency of own home, paying less for utilities, living in comfort - all these desirable goals motivate families to take action. The state provides assistance in the form of partial compensation from 20% to 35% for ‘warm loans’,” said the acting Head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving Konstantin Hura.

As part of the energy efficiency program, Oschadbank and Ukrgasbank provide “warm loans" to individual households.
