Shmyhal, Varadkar discuss participation of business in Ukraine’s reconstruction
"I held a meeting with Prime Minister of Ireland Leo Varadkar. In particular, we discussed the restoration of Ukraine and the participation of Irish business in this process. Our state, on its part, will provide all the necessary investment support," Shmyhal posted on Telegram.
Shmyhal cited a bright example of the Kingspan Irish company, which invests EUR 280 million in its project in Ukraine, and the CRH with an investment of EUR 25 million.
Shmyhal also informed Varadkar of Russia's attempts to disrupt the work of the Black Sea Grain Initiative. "The attack on Odesa port infrastructure endangers millions of lives around the world. The world should resolutely oppose Russia's attempts to create a global food crisis," the Head of Government said.
Shmyhal also thanked Ireland for its immediate assistance after the Russians blew up the Kakhovka HPP dam.
As reported, Prime Minister of Ireland Leo Varadkar is visiting Ukraine on Wednesday.
