U.S. senators introduce bill on energy security in Ukraine, Europe
Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform says.
"Today, our friends in Congress, Senators Menendez (Democrat) and Risch (Republican), introduced a bipartisan draft law on response to the energy security crisis in Ukraine and Europe. This act is aimed at supporting and developing Ukraine's energy infrastructure, as well as reducing the EU countries' energy dependence on Russia, improving the diversification of energy sources, etc.", Markarova informed.
She emphasized that this is fully in line with Ukraine's strategic priorities and reconstruction plans.
"Energy is one of our 5 key priorities for rapid recovery, which the United States is already supporting," the Ukrainian ambassador said.
As reported, Ukrainian diplomats are now actively working to extend the Lend-Lease act in the United States.
