Two miners killed in coalmine collapse in Lviv region

Two miners were killed when they were trapped under rubble after a cave-in at the Vidrodzhennia coalmine in the Lviv region.

Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the region's military administration, announced this on the Telegram messaging app, Ukrinform reports.

"Unfortunately, reports about the miners who found themselves under rock rubble at the Vidrodzhennia mine in the Chervonohrad district have been confirmed. Unfortunately, the men were not saved," Kozytskyi said.

According to him, Andrii Konchuk, 37, is among those killed. He worked at the mine for almost three years.

Volodymyr Makohin, 36, was also killed. He worked at the Vidrodzhennia mine for six years.
