Dugin's supporter spreading Yarosh's fabricated statements

On March 3, a post was published in the Western segment of the social media platform X that "the leader of the Right Sector and the commander of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army" allegedly called for the arrest of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for treason. In addition, Dmytro Yarosh allegedly suggested that the authorities used Ukrainian nationalist groups in dangerous missions to purposefully destroy them. This should allegedly help Zelensky's team retain power in the future. The post also says that Yarosh is wanted by Interpol for a long list of crimes.

The post is fake. Dmytro Yarosh has not been the leader of the Right Sector since December 2015, and since January 2016 he has not been wanted by Interpol, which placed him on the wanted list at Russia's request back in July 2014.

Yarosh's statements, which the author cites, are fictitious. In a comment to Ukrinform, a representative of the headquarters of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army said the fake post had been created by the Russian intelligence services and aimed at dividing the Ukrainian nation, humiliating Ukrainian leaders and smearing the ideas of Ukrainian nationalism.

"In official media resources and on social media, the information mentioned or similar in content was not made public by Dmytro Yarosh and representatives of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army. Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the commander of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army Dmytro Yarosh decided to minimize any public speeches, since such information can be distorted and used by the enemy to their advantage, and political PR during war is humiliating and inappropriate," he added.

The post itself was shared on the account of James Porrazzo (@JamesPorrazzo). He positions himself as a journalist, editor, and political technologist. The post has already received more than 37,000 views and more than 200 reposts. The content shared by Porrazzo on his X social network account is anti-Ukrainian.

In addition, he has a dubious background, and his activities are associated with extremist organizations. In 1993, James Porrazzo headed the American racist organization American Front. He supported the ideology of the "Third Position" - a type of neo-fascism.

Later, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Porrazzo created New Resistance, which supports the views of the Kremlin's racist ideologue Aleksandr Dugin, whom Porrazzo openly calls a friend.
