April 28, the Ukrainian community of Riga and Latvian activists took part in the Stop Putin’s War in Ukraine 4.0 worldwide rally against the Russian aggression.
The protest action was held in front of the Russian Embassy in Latvia, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
The rally began at 17:00 and lasted an hour. Approximately 50 people chanted slogans "Russia is occupant!" and "Freedom to political prisoners!" There activists held the posters in Russian, Latvian and English languages, reading "I Support Ukraine", "Crimea is Ukraine", "Stop Putin – Stop War", "#FreeZeytullaev", "#FreeCrimeanMuslims", "Pret Krievijas imperialismu un karu" (meaning “Against Russian imperialism and war” in Latvian).
