Zelensky, Georgian FM discuss interaction on way to EU and NATO

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani discussed ways to enhance bilateral political dialogue and the activities of the Ukrainian-Georgian High-Level Strategic Council.

Zelensky thanked Georgia for its continued support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, adding that our state had also always supported Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

“I am very pleased with the resumption of substantive, powerful relations between our countries. We are very glad to see you here,” the president stressed.

The interlocutors discussed ways to intensify bilateral political dialogue and the activities of the Ukrainian-Georgian High-Level Strategic Council.

During the conversation, special attention was paid to the practical cooperation between Ukraine and Georgia in the context of deepening relations with the EU and NATO.

Zalkaliani thanked Ukraine for supporting Georgia's territorial integrity and European aspirations, and also noted that the two countries had resumed intensive bilateral cooperation.

Zelensky reiterated personal invitation to President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili to take part in the inaugural summit of the Crimean Platform and the events on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine in August 2021.
