Zelensky names next step in countering disinformation
He said this at the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30. International Relations,” an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Cyber threats, attacks on critical infrastructure are becoming almost a common thing. We must share our experience with partners in these areas and unite joint efforts to overcome these challenges of the modern world,” Zelensky stressed.
According to him, Ukraine has launched the creation of a system for combating disinformation at the state level.
“The next step is to establish such a system of strategic communications and coordination both at the state level and at the international level with our allies,” Zelensky said.
He also noted the importance of forming a positive image of Ukraine abroad.
"It's a powerful tool. First, as an acquaintance with Ukraine and, secondly, as overcoming all those stereotypes that are based on propaganda and misinformation. Ukraine must become a recognized positive brand, attractive to all tourists, attractive for travel, education, education, business,” Zelensky said.
As reported, in March 2021, the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security at the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy was established to counter misinformation and Russian propaganda.
