MFA: Embassy of Ukraine in Spain also receives bloodstained package

"The Embassy of Ukraine in Spain also received a bloodstained package similar to those previously received by our other diplomatic missions. The Spanish police surrounded the perimeter of the embassy for security reasons. Experts are already working on the spot, an investigation is underway," Oleg Nikolenko, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, told Ukrinform.

Earlier Nikolenko said that after the terrorist attack in Spain, the embassies in Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia, Italy, the general consulates in Naples and Krakow, and the consulate in Brno received bloodstained packages containing animal eyes. The packages were soaked in a liquid of a distinctive color and had a corresponding smell.

As reported, in Spain, terrorists sent at least five parcel letters with explosive devices to the addresses of various objects, including the Spanish Satellite Control Center and the Torrejón Air Base. The police are investigating these facts.
