Kuleba discusses finalisation of security agreement with Sikorsky in Warsaw

According to Ukrinform, Kuleba wrote about this on the social network X.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that during the meeting with Sikorski, special attention was paid to negotiations with third countries on providing Ukraine with additional air defence capabilities.

"We also talked about the completion of the bilateral security agreement between Ukraine and Poland," Kuleba said in a statement.

Together with the Polish Foreign Minister, Kuleba also welcomed the start of Ukraine's negotiations on joining the European Union.

"Poland has been consistently supporting Ukraine's membership in the EU for many years. The practical start of negotiations is a success for Ukraine, Poland and the whole of Europe," the Ukrainian minister said.

In addition, the politicians discussed potential ways to unblock aid from the European Peace Fund for Ukraine in order to increase the volume of EU military assistance to the Armed Forces.

As reported by Ukrinform, on Friday, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that a security agreement between Warsaw and Kyiv would most likely be signed before the NATO summit to be held in Washington on 9-11 July.
