Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba emphasises that Ukraine should not just restore borders and bring Russia to justice, but create a reality in which a new war is impossible.

According to Ukrinform, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

During a speech at a panel discussion at the Dubrovnik Forum in Croatia, Kuleba stressed: "As we know from our own recent history, as well as from the history of other regions, peace without justice leads to a new war. Therefore, the goal is not just to end the war, but to create a reality in which peace is just and lasting, and a new war becomes impossible. This will be the victory."

In this context, Kuleba noted the key role of the Peace Summit and stressed that he would continue to engage with countries from all parts of the world to find solutions that would restore a just peace.

According to him, "The Peace Summit in Switzerland brought together countries from all over the world - north, south, east, and west - and demonstrated that they all share something in common. This "something" is the UN Charter, the principles of international law and the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries."

"And when we see that all these countries are ready to be together and act together, it certainly gives us confidence that a just and lasting peace is possible," Kuleba said.

According to the Foreign Minister, the path to a just and lasting peace is not easy, but it has no alternatives.

According to him, the world must erase the lines drawn by others to ensure respect for the principles that allow us all to live and prosper.

"There are things that unite us all and erase these differences. This is the desire to live in peace and develop. For Ukraine, it is peace and recovery, which, of course, is a prerequisite for development," Kuleba said.

As Ukrinform reported, Kuleba is on a visit to the Republic of Croatia, where he is taking part in the 17th Dubrovnik Forum and will hold a series of bilateral talks.
