Czech Defence Minister Jana Černochova paid a three-day visit to Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by Radio Prague International.

During her three-day visit, Černochova paid tribute to the Czechoslovak legionnaires and soldiers who died in World War II, as well as to Czech soldiers who fought as part of the Austro-Hungarian army.

"We visited the places closely connected with our soldiers who took part in the First and Second World Wars. The victims of both the great wars and the heroes of the Eastern Front must be remembered even in light of Putin's current senseless aggression," Chernochova said.

In addition, the Czech defence minister paid tribute to Ukrainian soldiers and talked to local authorities about possible humanitarian aid before the upcoming winter. Chernochova thanked the authorities for taking care of the Czech war graves.

Earlier, Chernochova laid flowers in memory of Czechoslovakian soldiers of World War II at a cemetery in the village of Sadhora near the Ukrainian-Romanian border, which is now part of Chernivtsi.

As Ukrinform reported, on 24 July, Chernochova said that the Czech Republic was launching a second project to purchase ammunition for Ukraine called Initiative 2025, which will involve five arms companies.
