Air defense, artillery and long-range weapons: Zelensky meets with Nauseda in Munich

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda have discussed the importance of strengthening Ukraine's air defense capabilities and the continued investment in the Ukrainian production of long-range weapons.

President Zelensky announced this on social media, Ukrinform reports.

“During my meeting with Lithuania’s President Gitanas Naudesa, we discussed defense support, particularly the strengthening of our air defenses and continued investment in Ukraine’s long-range weapons production,” he wrote.

Zelensky noted that special emphasis was placed on coordinating efforts to develop a joint position of Ukraine, Europe, and the United States, as well as on steps that will strengthen our state.

“Ending the war with a just and lasting peace is a shared goal of all our allies,” he stressed.

The President also thanked Lithuania “for standing shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine throughout the full-scale Russian invasion and for providing assistance across all sectors”.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, President Volodymyr Zelensky met with a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. Senate to discuss continued military support for Ukraine and the efforts needed to achieve a just peace.
