The Office of the President noted that Zelensky thanked Vance and his team for a productive meeting.

“Our first meeting. Not the last, I am sure. And what we really need is to talk more, work more and prepare a plan to stop Putin and end the war. We want peace very much, but we need real security guarantees. And we will continue our meetings and our work,” the President concluded.

As Ukrinform previously reported, U.S. Vice President JD Vance stated that the United States wants to achieve a lasting and durable peace in Ukraine, not the kind of peace that will lead to conflict in a few years.
