Zelensky, Danish PM discuss countering Russia’s shadow fleet in Munich

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen held a meeting in Munich to discuss countering Russia’s shadow fleet, defense assistance, and coordinating positions with international partners.

As reported by Ukrinform, Zelensky shared details of the meeting on Facebook.

“We expect the EU’s 16th sanctions package to target Russian oil, the entire shadow fleet, as well as its captains and crew members,” Zelensky stated.

Both leaders exchanged views on preserving European unity and working together to achieve a just and lasting peace.

Zelensky also expressed gratitude for the Danish model of direct investment in Ukraine's defense industry, which has been successfully implemented for a year now.

As reported, the Munich Security Conference, which began on February 14, has brought together over 60 world leaders, more than 100 ministers, and representatives from international organizations, business, NGOs, and the media to discuss global crises and security challenges.

Ukraine is represented by a delegation led by President Zelensky.
