Additional UAH 6.8B to be allocated for government’s e-Recovery program - PM Shmyhal
This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the government meeting, reports Ukrinform.
"The government helped restore housing for almost 20,000 families across Kharkiv region thanks to the e-Recovery program. Today we are moving on to allocate an additional UAH 6.8 billion for this program," the head of the government said.
He clarified that UAH 2.4 billion of these funds will be used for housing repairs. "These are small, medium, and capital repairs. We thank the World Bank, which is financing the program and providing Ukraine with a grant for the relevant amount," Shmyhal noted.
According to the prime minister, another UAH 4.4 billion will be utilized to finance housing for 3,000 citizens. This component is financed by the Development Bank of the Council of Europe.
“e-Recovery is one of the most successful reconstruction programs, and it is important that residents of Kharkiv region actively and successfully use it," the Prime Minister noted.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the next round of the e-Recovery should involve compensation for residents of temporarily occupied territories, said Olena Shuliak, chair of the Parliamentary Committee on regional development.
