Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said during the IISS Shangri-La Dialogue, Asia’s leading defense summit, that Ukraine would be ready to export grain by sea only if a maritime corridor was created of the ships belonging to “civilized countries” as Ukraine has no trust in any proposals coming from Russia.
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba had phone calls with his Polish and Lithuanian counterparts on Saturday, discussing supplies of heavy weaponry to Ukraine, the seventh package of Russia sanctions, and the efforts to unblock Ukrainian exports.
Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on the President of the African Union to appeal to Russia as the primary source of the food crisis to resolve the problem and to respect Ukraine's legitimate concerns about its own security.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir discussed the development of Ukrainian small and medium-sized business, EU candidate status for Ukraine, and prevention of global food crisis.

The Elysee Palace states that France is ready to take part in the operation to unblock the port of Odesa to ensure the export of Ukrainian grain to countries that need it.
Russian invaders are taking Ukrainian-produced grain from Zaporizhzhia Region to Crimea by train. They are also preparing to steal the newly-harvested crops, including by sea.

In Kyiv, the Darnytsia Railcar Repair Plant has resumed operation. Staff start to work in those workshops where it is possible after the enemy attack on the morning of June 5.
Ambassador Michael R. Carpenter, U.S. Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), has said that the United States will continue to support residents of the Kherson region and expressed confidence that Ukraine would eventually liberate Kherson, which Russia has now turned into a "laboratory of horrors."

The United States, together with its allies, partners and international organizations, are very focused on ensuring that Ukrainian grain gets to the market blocked by Russian aggression.
The authorities established by the Russian invaders in Melitopol plan to hold a pseudo-referendum on joining Russia. First deputy chief of the Putin’s staff Sergey Kiriyenko has visited the city. At the same time, the population shows no support for the referendum.
Against the background of the illegal expropriation by Russian invasion forces of Ukrainian wheat, vegetables, other food products and agricultural machinery from Kherson region and other regions of Ukraine, the “Appeal of the Supreme Council of the Ukrainian Emigration” which is kept in the Ukrainian Intelligence Service archive has been brought to light.

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak has called on the ambassadors of the G7 countries to assist in speeding up the supply of the necessary weapons by the governments of their countries for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukraine emphasizes the need for effective security guarantees for the resumption of navigation which should be provided through the supply of weapons to protect the coast and the involvement of third country forces in patrolling the Black Sea.
Russia’s promises should not be trusted after the Kremlin broke its vows several times, including the one to not invade Ukraine, to not target civilians, or to not provoke a global food crisis.
Ukraine is not ready to consider the option of grain exports through Belarus.

Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN Sergiy Kyslytsya has criticized the position of politicians who advise Ukraine to make concessions to Russia in order to stop the war.
Ukraine has exported about 47.2 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops since the beginning of the marketing year 2021/2022 (July 1, 2021), including 148,000 tonnes since early June 2022.
