Russians hastily filling police units for "elections" - Malyar

The Kremlin is recruiting positions in the "internal affairs bodies" in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine to provide police support for the organization of the so-called "single election day" in September.

Hanna Malyar, the Deputy Minister of Defense, said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to her, Russia's holding of the so-called elections in the temporarily occupied territories is a violation of international law. Their results will mean nothing but a crime for the organizers and perpetrators, Malyar emphasized.

As reported, the Russian Central Election Commission has scheduled "elections" in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine for September 10, 2023.
