Bridge over Tal River reconstructed in Kyiv region
The reconstruction of a bridge over the Tal River in the Kyiv region, located on the Kyiv-Ivankiv-Ovruch highway, has been completed.
This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories, and Infrastructure of Ukraine on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
It is noted that the first vehicles have already crossed the bridge. The bridge, in particular, has enabled the restoration of a full transportation connection between Kyiv and the Ivankiv community. This will simplify logistics for local residents and improve cargo delivery.
The Ministry of Reconstruction reminds that the bridge over the Tal River was destroyed by Russian occupying forces while retreating from the Kyiv region.
All its structures were demolished as a result of the explosion.
During the preparation for reconstruction, the bridge was inspected, and the area was cleared of mines. It took seven months to build the bridge. Active construction work began in November 2022. The bridge over the Tal River was practically built "from scratch": supports, beams, and superstructures were installed. It has two asphalt lanes and sidewalks.
This is already the second bridge reconstructed in the Kyiv region. Last year, another bridge on the Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhansky highway became fully operational.
Currently, construction works are underway for the reconstruction of 10 bridges in the Kyiv region that were destroyed during the conflict. In addition to full reconstruction, 20 temporary crossings were also erected last year.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, in May of this year, the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure restored direct connection between Lviv, Truskavets, and Skhidnytsia by installing a temporary bridge on the T-14-02 highway in the Lviv region.
