Around 316K civilians remain in Donetsk region

Around 316,000 civilians currently remain in Donetsk region, with mandatory evacuation efforts ongoing in the area.

This information was shared during an online briefing by Dmytro Petlin, Head of the Operational Duty Service, Communication, Notification, and Public Information Department of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.

"Evacuation continues from settlements in the Ukrainian-controlled territory of Donetsk region. Over 1.18 million people have been evacuated as part of this effort, including around 188,000 children and over 46,000 people with disabilities. Currently, approximately 316,000 civilians remain in the Ukrainian-controlled areas of the region," Petlin stated.

He recalled that mandatory evacuation of civilians in the Ukrainian-controlled parts of Donetsk region has been in effect since August 2, 2022, under Cabinet of Ministers order No. 679.

As reported, on December 5, approximately 318,000 civilians remained in the Ukrainian-controlled parts of Donetsk region.
