Drones attack oil pump station in Volgograd region
According to Ukrinform, the BBC Russian Service reported this.
“A fire broke out as a result of debris falling on industrial infrastructure in the Kotovo district; firefighting efforts are ongoing,” the Volgograd region administration reported.
Russian authorities did not specify exactly which facility was damaged.
However, the Ukrainian monitoring channel Exilenova+ previously reported a strike on a central oil processing and pumping station near the village of Yefimovka in the Volgograd region.
The Telegram channel ASTRA notes that the oil processing plant in Yefimovka had already been attacked in October 2025, when a fire broke out there.
Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports that the fire outbreaks were confirmed by NASA’s FIRMS fire monitoring system.
The Yefimovka oil refinery is a technological hub where crude oil from fields is purified of formation water, associated gas, and mechanical impurities. The purified oil is fed into main pipelines (including the Kuibyshev–Tikhoretsk route) for transport to oil refineries or for export.
As reported by Ukrinform, drones attacked a marine terminal in the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation overnight, causing it to catch fire.
