State Border Guard Service reports no provocations along Transnistrian border

As of now, no provocations have been recorded along the Transnistrian section of the border with Moldova.

According to Ukrinform, Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service, announced this on television.

“As of now, fortunately, we have not recorded any provocations from that side [the Transnistrian segment of the border with Moldova] toward our border,” he noted.

At the same time, Demchenko emphasized that Ukraine continues to reinforce this section of the border.

According to the State Border Service spokesperson, this sector has been reinforced by various units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

As reported, on May 16, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree granting Russian citizenship to residents of Transnistria. The document provides for the right to simplified acquisition of a Russian passport for foreigners and stateless persons aged 18 and older who are permanently residing in Transnistria at the time the decree takes effect.
