Majority in European Parliament to support Ukraine - Pekka Toveri

The newly elected chair of the Ukraine-EU Association Committee, MEP (Finland) and former general Pekka Toveri, representing the European People's Party, reaffirmed his firm support for Ukraine, noting that this is exactly the position that the vast majority of the new European Parliament will retain.

Sybiha and Sikorski meet unofficially in Warsaw

The Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Poland, Andriy Sybiha and Radoslaw Sikorski, had an informal meeting on October 1 in Warsaw, although they did not have a scheduled bilateral meeting.


EU court upholds ban on legal services for Russian entities

The European General Court in Luxembourg, in response to the lawsuit from a number of Western law firms filed against the EU Council, confirmed the legality of restrictions on rendering advisory and legal services to Russian entities, introduced as part of EU sanctions targeting Russia over its war of aggression against Ukraine.
