The Netherlands will contribute EUR 20 million to a joint fund of the new drone coalition for Ukraine.

That's according to the Dutch Defense Ministry, Ukrinform reports.

This should lead to the delivery of one million First Person View (attack) drones to Ukraine this year.

The coalition later plans to expand the offer to other types, including reconnaissance drones.

More than 265 companies, including nine companies from the Netherlands, have now signed up to supply FPV drones to Ukraine.

"Ukraine needs a lot of attack drones quickly. These have proven to be very successful on the battlefield. Together with 11 other countries we will take care of this, and we confirmed this today during the NATO summit," said Minister of Defense Ruben Brekelmans.

Member countries of the drone coalition for Ukraine earlier signed a memorandum of understanding that provides for the creation of a joint fund of EUR 45 million.
