Air Defense Forces shoot down 114 of 132 Russian drones

Air Defense Forces shot down 114 of the 132 drones used by Russian invaders to attack Ukraine since the evening of June 15.

According to the military, starting at 6:00 p.m. on June 15, the Russians launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Rostov region, as well as 132 Shahed-type strike UAVs (including jet-powered ones), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parody-type decoy drones from the following directions: Shatalovo, Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m. on June 16, Air Defense Forces had shot down or neutralized 114 drones in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.

Missiles and 16 combat UAVs hit 9 locations, and downed debris was found at 8 locations.

The attack is ongoing, with Russian drones currently in the airspace.

As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of June 16, the Russians struck Balakliia with drones, injuring eight people.
