Dutch defense chief visits two Ukrainian drone producers
The top defense official reported this via X, Ukrinform saw.
"On Monday I visited two local companies that participate in the Ukrainian drone production. Their high-tech innovations are also important for the Netherlands. They serve the mutual cooperation between the Ukrainian and Dutch business sector as well as lessons learned for our own armed forces," she wrote.
Ollongren also noted that on the way to Kyiv she met with the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kamyshyn.
"We discussed the further expansion of cooperation between Ukrainian and Dutch companies," she wrote.
The official also shared that while in Kyiv, she visited the Motherland monument.
"While in Kyiv, I also visited the impressive Mother Ukraine monument. The hammer and sickle symbol has been replaced by the trident, the national symbol of Ukraine. This symbolises Ukraine reclaiming its own cultural identity from its communist past," the defense minister reported.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov of Ukraine and his Dutch counterpart Kajsa Ollongren discussed the Netherlands’ participation in the F-16 coalition and military cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail possible ways for the Netherlands to participate in the procurement of weapons for Ukrainian military needs and considered options for cooperation in the field of defense production inside Ukraine, Umerov informed.
