Ukrainian diaspora in Canada urges G7 to provide Ukraine with more air defense systems and long-range weapons
According to a Ukrinform correspondent, this was stated by Alexandra Chyczij, President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress, while commenting on Russia’s overnight strikes on Ukraine.
“The leaders of the G7 member states are meeting in France. The Ukrainian Canadian Congress calls on the G7 to provide Ukraine with more air defense systems and long-range weapons so that it can stop Russian strikes on civilians,” Chyczij said.
She also called for a significant strengthening of sanctions against Russia “to break the Russian war machine.”
“Russia must finally be recognized as a state sponsor of terrorism and isolated from the international community,” emphasized the head of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress.
As reported by Ukrinform, last night the Russians launched a massive combined strike on Ukraine. In total, the radio-technical units of the Ukrainian Air Force recorded 681 air attack vehicles—70 missiles and 611 UAVs. Air defense forces neutralized 50 missiles and 582 drones.
Kyiv was the main target of the enemy strike. Five people were killed in the capital, and another 38 were injured.
