The European Union member states have agreed on a package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
The European Union calls on the Russian Federation to reverse its decision to recognize self-proclaimed entities in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, to withdraw troops from Ukraine's borders, and to comply with international law and its international commitments.
Ireland believes that Russia's decision to recognize the independence of "LPR/DPR" is a blatant violation of Ukraine's territorial integrity and supports additional sanctions against Russia.
Russia must see in practice that when the world talks about sanctions, it is actually ready to apply them.
