Zelensky assures that response to today’s massive attack coming
According to a Ukrinform correspondent, the president made this statement to journalists.
When asked by a journalist what he would say to Vladimir Putin following this attack, Zelensky replied: “We’ll have our say.”
According to the president, it was no coincidence that the Russians launched a massive strike on Ukraine immediately after Putin congratulated U.S. President Donald Trump on his birthday.
“As always, he cynically congratulated the President of the United States and then launched a massive strike on Ukraine. I think it’s no coincidence that for several days they weren’t just gathering missiles—we saw that they had the necessary forces; they were waiting not to do this until after President Trump’s birthday,” Zelensky emphasized.
Otherwise, he said, the U.S. president’s team and Trump himself would have raised the issue of a massive strike.
As reported, Putin spoke with Trump on June 14. This was announced by Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov. According to him, Putin wished Trump a happy birthday, and the conversation lasted 55 minutes.
Earlier, Ukrinform reported on a phone call between Zelensky and Trump.
Last night, Russia carried out another massive strike on Ukraine. Air Defense Forces intercepted 50 missiles and 582 drones with which Russian invaders had been attacking the country since the evening of June 14. The main target of the strike was Kyiv.
