The annual capacity of the Ukrainian gas transit system is 146 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which allows Ukraine to transport almost twice as much gas as the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines combined because they can pump only 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year, according to Sergiy Makogon, General Director of the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine (GTSOU).
